After school the other day, I heard a bunch of teachers talking and laughing about students. Perosinally, i don't blame them. A lot of girls are loud and disrespectful towards teachers. I do respect them, and i work hard at school. But i am sure that almost all teachers categorize me into the typical student group.

I am going away with a teacher on tour soon, and i would like to gain her respect , as i believe it will make the trip run smoother.

What can i do, apart from just working hard and being polite?

thanks

Work hard, be polite and respectful...the teacher will really get to know you when you are on the trip---all teachers do the student comparison laugh game--no sweat--if you were a problem, you would know it already---relax and have fun on the trip--smile and good luck.

You have always got to be polite (teacher, boss, parents and friends) to earn anyones respect. Working hard is a good thing too but dont think it will earn as much respect as respecting the other person.

Its like respect earns respect..... trust earns trust...... mmmm
wot to do?

I probably would confide in the teacher, talk to them alittle more about yourself, open up and ask him/her how you could improve your work, what sort of things you should be doing to improve your grades, things like that.....

I know it is in the questions people ask that earn them their place, ask and you shall receive - goes much further than just asking for things - your teacher will be very impressed that you have had courage to talk to them about trying to improve your grades and if you do it sincerely, im sure it will help.

If you keep your attitude in life (by wanting to earn respect) Im sure you will grow into a highly respectable individual. Good on you for being so mature. I hope you achieve all you want in life - it seems you are already on the right road for success.

Talk to your counselor. Teachers are not supposed to speak that way about students, particularly when the students can hear them. Explain to the counselor that you felt very uncomfortable when you heard what they had said. Let her know that you have always tried to be an exemplary student. Tell her that you felt that the generalization of all students was very unfair.

Gifts of food work nicely! Though it wouldn't hurt to strike up some small conversation first to find out what her tastes are and what she finds interesting. This way you won't waste time and money giving something she wouldn't like. Also you can brush up on her interests and you can impress her with intelligent conversation on your trip! Smart networking skills! Enjoy your trip!
