i know i'm going to get the whole "Bush" argument, but we got Blair-jeez, but you have so many funky things i hear about on here, drive in movies theatres, twinkies(i so want to try one), loads of things i want to experience, apart from free health care for everyone here-albeit not perfect, america seems an exciting place to be

America does have a lot of cool stuff and the great thing is,you can get almost anything on the "net". It is an interesting place to live and I hope you can come for a visit one day. I also will send you Twinkies if you let me know where to send them! When my brother was stationed in Holylock(?) in the navy,he said there was no root beer and no peanut butter in Scotland. That was in the 70s. Still true????

America is a virtual empire, in other words if you go to any large city (especially in the western world) you'll find that they're all pretty much the same.
With this day and age anything is accessible in most cities. Its even likely you can try twinkies at some import shop or perhaps order on the net.....
Anyway, dont let that deter you, the only thing that I reccommend going to other parts of the world for isnt its shopping but to experience the customs, the humor and pretty much the way of life of other places......
I believe that if you do visit the USA you wont be enlightened by the "stuff" you can do there but by the people you meet.
Also, and I hope others can agree, when you do go to countries overseas it does give you a more sense of pride for you own country

All places appear exotic to someone from somewhere else. I'm an American and have experienced both drive in movies and twinkies (they're both good) but to me the most interesting place on earth is southeast Asia and its cultures - I've already been there several times and want to go back again soon someday.
You're right about America though - it is a vibrant society and culture - hope you can make it over here someday if you haven't already.....

You're right, I've been there and it's SO cool - New York's like being in a movie! Can't believe I didn't try Twinkies there, but the street vendors sold lots of weird & wonderful things (proper big pretzels & knishes were my faves) and the sandwiches are out of this world! The weird thing is, they all love Britain with its crappy weather, boring food and rubbish service! Go figure...

America is an exciting place to be for sure. As for drive-ins, they are really a thing of the past, you don't see many of them anymore. As for Twinkies, you can have them all...yuck! LOL. But that's just my opinion, a lot of people really love them.

We import nearly as many things as we export. It all depends on what you want to have here. Here we are suppose to be the melting pot of the world. Depending on where you are in this country, depends on what you get to experience. I have gotten to travel most of the Eastern part of America and some in the West. The friends I treasured most were my Indian friends. They are from the Sioux Nation.

Hi Sweetheart! You are a breath of fresh Air! You're so welcome to come to America, and we are so happy to share with you all the things that make our country cool. I live near Chicago, and when you go there go to UNO's Pizza on Ohio St. This is where deep dish pizza was first made, and it is just heaven.(call for reservation). And check out ELI's Cheescakes from Chicago and their very famous hot dogs!
Oh and when you are there, say hello to Michael Jordan for me!

to be honest, with the exception of bushdick, we as a country are blessed, and we take it for granted. (you've never had a twinkie? oh, my, don't know what to say.)
