Hi I have a movie in mkv format that has subtitles but when I try to convert it to avi there are no subtitles. So my question is how can I convert my mkv file to avi with the subtitles in it.

You have to use MKVExtract to extract the subtitle first, then convert the AVI then embed the subtitle.
