Can someone suggest a cool antonym word (doesn't have to be a perfect antonymn .Could be something subtle as well) for the word 'boo',as in "The crowd was booing at the politician".

I am looking for something that rhymes,at least to some degree, with 'boo' .

For now the word that i have in my mind is 'hoo'. But i am not totally satisfied with it.

Any help is appreciated .

Thanks for your time

When he spoke, there were no boos.

Your question is not clear. Are you looking for an antonym (i.e. opposite) of 'boo', or an antonym of 'boo' that also rhymes to some extent with 'boo', or both?
A few antonyms of 'boo' could be: acclaim, clap, applaud, praise.
Some words to rhyme with boo could be: shoe, brew, flew, glue, true, etc.
As suggested in an earlier answer, a word to rhyme with boo, that also is acceptable (though may not be an antonym), would be 'coo'.

An antonym is a word that is opposite to a word. So the opposite of boo is applaud, clap, cheer etc. Were you after a synonym (similar meaning)?
A similar word could be "jeer" but it doesn't rhyme.
