Without a doubt, it's my fear. When you've been hurt so many times, it make your confidence falter and it makes you questions yourself.

I'm working on it. Progress is slow.

Nothing now. A year ago it was my addiction to lortabs. I can't think of a better word to describe than "prisoner" ; I was a prisoner to the drug. It was the first thing I though about when I woke up, and my day was consumed with thinking about if I had enough, where I could get more, and how I could come up with more money. Going through withdrawal was like torture. I couldn't function without them. One day I finally broke down and cried for almost 2 hours- I was withdrawing, and my son was on floor, wanting me to play with him. I physically could not take care of him. I called my Mom and just broke down. That was it for me. My Mom and my best friend helped slowly ween myself off the drug. They helped care for my son, and I spent 3 days laying in bed, until I was able to just function on the little bit I had left. I started seeing a counselor, who helped me find better ways to deal with my stress and manage my time ( I was caring for my son alone, while working part time and attending college classes full time) Pretty soon I was completely off them. It took me a few weeks to get my energy level back to normal, and a couple months to stop craving the drug. But it was worth it. Now I can look at my son without feeling guilty, and look in the mirror without feeling worthless. That is a place in my life I would never want to be in again!

My body. I can't get rid of it without causing extreme pain; I can leave it, but have to come back again; and it's getting past its use-by date.
So what do I do?
I work with it, and use it do do all the things I like (well, some of them anyway), and find it a useful means of communication with other people, and it can run away from people I don't want to communicate with. I kinda like it, actually.

My self doubt is holding me back, even though I receive so much support from people it is terribly hard to believe in my self sometimes. Even though I am confident, sometimes I doubt my self. How ever I am getting better with this, I don't want to be down here for ever feeding the things holding me hostage.
