As acculturation is a part of learning, co-ed classes are a integral part of school life. Boy and girls need to learn to interact before they head into the real world.
As for the learning differences...
There are several different learning types and they are not just differentiated by sex, the argument that boys and girls need to separated because they learn differently is a misleading one because it would make more sense to separate people into oral, visual and hands-on learning groups.

Bad. The different sexes learn differently, think differently... it is only right that they are taught in different ways and being kept away from each other will surely help them avoid being distracted. Its not a matter of equality, its a matter of education. This is the year 2007, the girls schools are not going to be underfunded because of an inherent bias towards boys, so don't start!

Let me first say that while moving to civilisation (after aquiring food, cloath & shelter) we had fixed relation amongst human beings, i.e. male to female, male to male & female to female. To day also we mentain it, in what so over ratio, but mostly restricted to own family resulting it to be narrowly squeeged, which were videly mentained in all the society (specially in India). In that where there no direct relation exists it is autometically fixed betwin strengers according to age (baring husband & wife ). To day we have come out with an new relation 'boy & girl friend' (if a girl or boy doesn't have boy/girl friend he/she is dicorded amongst the group), which I believe imerged from co-education like a slow pioson affecting drastically the relations in society, 'more to husband & wife' to that extent that the males & females are mutualy contrating to move freely in open in objectionable way, as they to othan human creed, noticed by each & every one. Even it, "friendship of male female (which used to be as sisters, brothers, uncles, aunties, dadas & dadis)" is now debated at our social events publically as right to enjoy free living without any hindrence from others, including parents & elders.
In my views schools (upto primary level) and colleges should do co-education, and from VIth to 12th stander seperate schools must run for girls & boys and do away with "boy & girl friendship" bringing back the old system of siter & brother hood, which yet exists but hiddeen. Extra curricorum, atleast in schools, must be eradicated with vulgarity (educative & social entertainments be stged / practiced to build up morals of the youths instead commercialising their character by practicing commercial entertainments). The excess ratio of relativity amongst youngsters are harmful at teenager stage mostly , it had been researched socially & scientifically as well, and to day it is making its root very deeply .

To have a friendly relationship between boys/girls. An survey has said that crime rate is decreased due to this co-education (No source for that).

For a sincere and serious student, it does not make difference. All schools and colleges are good except the students who have to prove their mettle.
