As you know, the weather has been kind to us lately and I decided to wear some flip flops, like many other young women I've seen with on my travels. When I saw my friend at the bus stop she laughed at me and pointed and said, "Look at your feet. I can't be bothered with that nonsense".
I'm so sensitive and of course I was, once again, offended. What on earth did I do that was so wrong? I've been cursed with a sensitive nature I'm afraid.

If she laughed at you for wearing flip flops, and knows that you're sensitive, then I think she's let you down a bit! My friends and I have been wearing flip flops for a couple of weeks now; one of my friends started wearing them half way through March when the weather started getting hot enough! Nothing wrong with wearing flip flops and if she says anything again, tell her it's better for you feet that stuffing them into trainers on a warm day!

Some friend!! To point and laugh!! Personally I love flip flops and I absolutely live in them during the hot weather! I even have a smart black pair for work! I suppose your friend was shocked by the sight of bare feet / flesh after months of covering up! Either that or she leads a very sheltered life and hasn't experienced the freedom and comfort that flip flops offer! Either way, flip flops are fabulous and hopefully there will be many more lovely days that we can wear them - tell your friend she's going to have to get used to it!!

Boo to ur friend......
I wear flip flops with gym pants and could careless what anyone comments....even the husband. Infact, I was at Jason's Deli the other day and my daughter starting laughing. She asked me why I had 2 different color flip flops on?
We both laughed so hard. She's pretty cool cuz she does not care either. She knows that it is what is upstairs that counts the most...screw the clothes.

Don't be so sensitive. Be the person that you want to be. Remember this old saying that is very true---"you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can not please all of the people all of the time" The world would be awfully boring if everyone dressed and acted alike. I love being different. I dress different purposely. They have come to call me a trend setter. Every time I wear something unusual, about two or three weeks later, everybody is doing the same thing. It makes me proud to know that I am a leader, instead of being told how to dress, act or think!!! I am unique, and that makes me feel special!!!

Laugh at HER i say - she was probably just jealous that you had nice cool feet whilst hers sweltered in boots!! I dont wear flip flops for TWO reasons.... 1) i am not very tall and therefore feel short and dumpy in flatties (also i look rather ridiculous when with partner as he is 6'2" and towers above me!) .....2) i find them pretty uncomfortable - mainly those ones with the thong bit between ur toes - blister CITY i have found!!!!!
Anyhoo, point is, i spend half my summer with sweating feet in heavy boots etc So good for you!!! And next time your "mate" comments on your foot apparel (or any other apparel for that matter..) tell her where to stick her stupid booted (or stiletto-ed...ouch) feet!

By the sounds of it you have done absolutely nothing wrong at all!!! Unless of course you painted each toe nail a different colour and put pretty patterns on them, although thats still not wrong, which is maybe why she cant be bothered will all that nonsense!
Take no notice of your so called friend and enjoy the sun while it lasts!

let me tell you something dear. Every now and then in your life, you have someone who runs around with you and masqarades as your friend, who really isn't there for any other reason than to make you feel insecure, because it makes them feel superior.
That is who your "friend" really is.
I wear flip flops all the time, cause I like the ease and comfort of them. Wear what you want, and find a real friend.

I consider Megean...make him pick! If what you pick is to be his lady pal and you do not wanna be 'the pal' anymore then make him pick. this might probably be incredibly confusing 'reason it seems such as you're extremely related to him your self...? Am I top? I recommend it form of feels that way. I wager it may well be incredibly confusing so you might tell him "look, the two sell off your GF and flow out with me or supply up calling me." might look harsh yet you gotta verify...If that is incredibly bugging you which you're actually not with him then possibly you're able to do this...in case you have love for him as a chum and as a lover then possibly show those emotions yet do not supply him the ultimatum.

You shouldnt worry about what your friends think of simple things like that. If you like your flip flops then wear them. I'll wear mine alllll the time if i want to. I dont care what anyone thinks, as long as im not in a professional place.
