C'mon people,we attach so much importance to sex and thats why it's a source of so much strife.A man will cheat coz he thinks his wife is boring in Bed,a woman will complain if he is not performing etc....i mean there are other things such as........ COMPANIONSHIP?

There sure are, and after the hormones that drive us sexually dimisih it becomes invaluable. However, as a species, we are driven by our hormones and sex IS and should be an important part of our lives. The problem comes in when that is the only consideration taken, and the rest is ignored. *shrug* I guess some people just aren't able to think beyond the hormonal urges.
Personally, I'll take the sex, thank you, but only IF you are a good companion and several other things I look for first.
BTW, the man isn't cheating because he thinks his wife is boring, he is cheating because he thinks he can get better or more exciting or something that better fills his particular need (using a purely sexual reason of course).

companionship compassion love there are so many things that make a relationship great and strong. I do however think sex plays a big role in a relationship. It is an expression between the two of professing your love through your bodies. It is when the two of you become one. it is a time to appreciate and pamper one another. It is also your way of creating something that only the two of you can create, your children. sex is a blessing ,a gift it isnt all about having an orgasm or how many people you can get in bed. So I guess sex is important in a relationship if it is used properly in the relationship. And if you dont have the love and respect for your mate you will never experience sex in all of its greatness.

Sex is important for existence of mankind.How much of it is needed is the question.Common people it is only a part of life.Porno literature exaggerate as if everman or woman is doing only sex and nothing else.If you want to have a loose relation like companion,sex partner or living in with limited or no liablity is possible.Contact marriage is possible with clauses for liablity,period of contract etc.Cheating comes only in cases of sexual unsatisfaction mostly,there may be exceptions.Non performing man,how long a woman can tolerate?Where she will go for basic minimum sexual satisfaction?

sex is not important, its there to enjoy in the right type of relationship between two people, that relationship being marriage.
after all the sex and after all those years you are going to want to find that FRIEND in the someone you have possibly been having sex with for so long... and if the companionship isnt there, then that FRIEND wont be there.... relationship over.
find the friend, find the partner in life, find the right relationship dynamics, and then if u want to u can look into sex... but sex is not necisary... you can live without it, so get over the big issue of sex.
once you find that person in life for you, you'll be happier than you ever thought u cud be, and you'll realise that it will have absolutely nothing to do with sex.

i think that sex is an important part of a relationship and that you should both enjoy a good healthy sex life! just be monogomous with your partner so that you don't spread std's and stuff! and take precautions against pregancy! sex should be fun and mutaully satisfing! but there should be other things in a relationship as well like going out and having fun together and comuntication or just sitting and haveing a cuddle in front of the tv! so sex is not the be all and end all of a relationship! but it should be a big part of it!

Sex isn't important in a relationship and if thats what keeps a relationship together then that relationship was weak from the beginning.
My partner and I have been together for 4 years and are both still to have sex because we feel that if we can get through our relationship until we get married without sex then we know we will last together forever.

well i think sex is very important, we all complain about our sex lives.
i have found a new fella who i don't complain about as i have a good se life it is what you make of it, i always put it in my head that it is the greatest sex i am having.
There is all things that make us tick just need to find them.
also with out it we would complain life is all full of things we moon about lets all try and no moon for a week and see how better we feel!!

I agree with you for me sex isn't everything.. like people say thats how you show love to the person your with, but you can do that in other ways besides sex.And in some cases it may be more memorable that way!!!
I love to conversate and find out things about the person im with i think it makes things more interesting!!!

I agree. While sex is important in a relationship, it shouldn't define it. There's so much more to marriage than just sex.
