Who's a Mark Mcgwire fan here?

He has never done anything wrong and no one has proved it. I believe he is HOF player. All the steroids charges are just assumptions and anyone who claims this is wrong and is use false incrimination.

If McGwire doesn't ever get into the Hall of Fame, why even have a Hall?

I can understand keeping Sosa out when the time comes, as he was caught with a corked bat, but when was McGwire ever caught cheating? Never. When the substance he used in '98 was later considered illegal, he simply switched to a legal substance.

Has McGwire cheated? I don't know, but I know this much: baseball would be DEAD without him and Sosa, which is why I compared the two of them in the above paragraph.

It's too much of a stretch to think he'll get in the Hall in '08, but unless hard facts prove he cheated, he should get in sometime.

I am from St. Louis and I don't like Mark McGwire he knows that he did steroids and he couldn't be a man and admit what he did wrong. I feel robbed of the joy that I felt during the home run race between McGwire and Sosa because it was a scam a fraud... so no I don't think he should be in the HOF.

Mcgwire does not deserve to be in the HOF... besides his 70 hr season after taking whatever drug he used that supposibly was not steroids and not banned by baseball he found a loop hole... the man is a bum... there are going to be a couple of people that have 500 hrs that wont get in the HOF because its to easy now to hit 500 hrs... mcgriff wont make it, bonds wont if these steroid things come down and mcgwire does not deserve it... show me some stats where mcgwire hit more then .275? lets forget 300 cause the man was and always will be a bum that can just hit hrs... adam dunn is the same way

all you mark mcgwire fans can thumb down this answer i dont care cause the truth hurts

Pure and simple - McGwire sat in front of congress and refused to say he did not take HGH or steroids. Why? Because he did not want to perjure himself. He all but admitted it right then and there! That is why he was not voted in. For that reason he is not in the Hall of Fame, and probably never will now. One look at his skin tells you all you need to know about him using steroids. He fails the skin pass test!

McGwire should be in the HOF. All he said in Congress is "Steroids are bad, don't do them". He hit 70 HR in the '98 season, so what's the reason to not induct McGwire to the HOF

Sorry, Jake, but there no room in the Hall of fame for Mark Mcguire until and unless he clears up the constant charges that he was definitely a steroid user. I hope he wasn't, but my gut reaction says he did. His refusal to discuss it is not good!!

Chow!!

He should be, he was never caught doing anything illegal. Sure, he was with Canseco, and hit 70 HR's, but that doesn't mean he did anything. 584 HR's should be a lock in the Hall.

Then why was he so secretive to Congress! When he came up he was very skinny and then he looked like the Incredible Hulk! I don't think he will ever step foot in Cooperstown!
