big ugly station wagon when you were growing up? We did. I used to be so embarrassed. And that was back when they were really really ugly.

My parents had Volvo station wagons until I was about 16 - I never found it too embarrassing - although I sometimes wished we had a more "flashy" car.

No, i grew up in Germany, our first car was a ford, from then on it was Audi and Mercedes (driving a Mercedes is not a big thing in Germany, all the taxicabs are mercedes`)

Yeah, it wa green the whole nine yards, but we had alot of great trips in that car & the best part was no seatbelts.
