Yes once. I had my pay in it (when pay packets were given in cash), they found my boyfriend (at the time) parents number in it...they contacted them. They in turn called me. I was oblivious to the fact that I had left it on a city central bench. It took me 30minutes to drive to their house and on the way I stopped off and bought a bunch of flowers for them. They turned out to be a lovely retired couple in their sixties. I didn't check on the money in the wallet till I got to the car...simply I was just very grate-full someone went to the honest trouble of returning it. All my money was there.

unfortunately, for me, I have a redundant problem of losing items that are very important or valuable all the while, i never seem to lose completely useless things such as junk i have from joke shops from when i was a kid. Valuables i have lost countless times are things such as my passport, a wallet or nice jewelry. all of these and many more i have lost in the past and not found any. The same thing has happened with other valuables as well such as my drivers licence and real gold jewelry. On a more "normal" losing scale of average people, I do lose a glove constantly and never find it again (sigh) As my mom says "this is why I can't have nice things anymore" :(

I would be happy to get my license and bank cards back. Maybe that was the way they found it, cash missing. I have had mine returned with no money missing. The person would not accept a reward. I once found a wallet and returned it wthout helping myself to the contents. I declined a reward.

you know...that person will have to be a moron to actually take the money and then give you back the wallet/purse...chances are that if a person takes the money they won't give you the wallet/purse back...
even if you ask that moron where the hell ur money went he'd just tell you that he found it empty...duh...

I had my wallet turned in, only to discover the mysterious benefactor had taken it upon himself to deactivate all of my accounts.
What a mess.

Thank you and gave a reward. I was just happy to get my ID and credit cards back.
The money that was missing was less important.
