you can sleep in your car no problem but you cant have your car keys in the car, even if you have no intention of driving, if the police stop you and find the keys in the car you are buggered!

when you sleep in a car and have alcohol in your blood, besides the fact that you never should have been driving, do not fall asleep sitting in the driver seat.
sitting in the passenger seat and leaning on the driver side might be ok though.. as in the case of my source link
oh, and kudos to the others for mentioning keys - perhaps a magnet box to hide the keys under the car might do well, but i'd also like to add proof of ownership of the car - perhaps a registration (if they have them over there) to be matched against your license

Sleep on the back seat. If you put the keys in the glove compartment you should be ok.
Try not to sleep in the pub car park , try the local lorry park

If you are going to sleep in the car after you've had a few, ask the pub landlord to hold your car keys until the morning (i.e. when you're fit enough to drive again) ! ! !

if you're over the reduce and performance the keys on your posession you'd be carried out for drink-power. no matter in case your vehicle is contained in the vehicle-park and also you're sound asleep on a park bench! you received't get carried out for that extremely frequently except the former bill is searching for a reason to take you in, yet once you're sound asleep lower than the impact of alcohol on your vehicle and performance get proper of entry to to the keys you'd be carried out for drink-power. in case you won't be able to e book an inn or a taxi, bypass the drink. that's the in straightforward words threat-free way.
