We are human and we are fallable, we try in this country to keep it from getting out of hand, just think about the poor people who live in other countries where the gov are so corrupt that major percentages of the population try to leave, Mexico is where im thinking right now. corruption runs from the top down to the bottom so the result is that nearly 20% of the population has left and come to the US to make a living.

God Bless America it aint perfect but it's the best thing going
and I for one appriciate the fact that I am an American, I luv this country, I thank the lord and my father for coming to America, and California, to think I could have been born in some rank place like New York, it makes my skin crawl just tinking about it.

I don't think there's an easy answer to your question. I also think it's a matter of degree. I don't think many people are "completely" corrupt or dissolute. Perhaps looking at a larger picture in terms of the culture we operate in, seeing that we are bound to and influenced by that culture, explains how we become part of corruption, as it is as contagious as a cold and habit forming as a local dialect. So in conclusion, no man is an island, and we influence each other.

Power does not corrupt. It illuminates corruption that is always present. The essence of corruption comes from our ability to invent and our desire to have more (more of whatever). Those are the same things that make us come up with creative wonders like art and science, or even just the will to get out of bed in the morning. They appear to be very bad when they are looked at in a certain light, but they are the same forces. It like how nice gravity is when you don't want to float away, but it is a bummer when your plane is going down.

That is what it means to be human...to make mistakes.

Did it ever make you wonder why the fore-fathers created the government we have today? Because they knew that human beings could be corrupted. Over-lapping powers kept government fighting itself instead of focusing on oppressing the people.

If you ever get frustrated with our government ...put it in this perspective....it's working how it was designed. Our fore-fathers knew what they were talking about.

If you don't like our government...you can always go to Russia. Putin is pretty totalitarian to me.. I predict another Revolution here soon.

The best trick that the devil ever played on man kind was getiing them to believe that he didn't exist. Gold a substance that can not be eaten, is too soft to make tools or weaponry. Is valuable to every race and every culture on Earth.

Ever heard of the selfish gene? Me neither! People are generally selfish people in the end. People get greedy and want more.
