Is this normal after leep from severe dysplasia?

I had the leep surgery almost 1 yr ago been goin to the doc every 4 months so far so good ,but i been spotting like 4 to 7 days before my actual period everytime since the leep does anyone know what this is about ?i asked the doc and he said he didnt think i was healed all the way cause i started spotting when he did the pap but it is always the week before my period the same almost everytime please let me know if this is normal or what. thanks

This definitely does not sound normal but it's possible that you could have an infection causing some of this bleeding.

As for the spotting when he did the pap, that is a normal occurrence when one has a pap smear even if one has never had a LEEP done. The reason is because of the irritation that is caused by the brush used to take the cells from the cervix to send off to the lab to have that evaluated to make sure all is normal.
