im using a kawasaki zxr400-g. Going uphill, i need often to press the clutch again to have power/speed going up. what could be the reason for this?

You are not "double clutching". You are slipping the clutch, a totally different and bad for your bike thing. You need to downshift to a lower gear. By slipping the clutch, you are only fooling yourself, and damaging your bike.

It's common to downshift to a lower gear when climbing a hill. This allows more engine horsepower to turn the rear wheel, and puts less strain on the transmission and clutch. Just make sure you're within a safe RPM range for the lower gear before downshifting!

aning Hi it sounds like you are trying to use to high of a gear at low rpm's .. You should be using your tachometer to time shifts ..If the rpm's drop you need to down shift .. Slipping the clutch will be costly in the end $$$$$$$. It sounds like you are a new rider .. After time you will be able to shift up or down by the sound and feel of the engine ... Good luck enjoy

You have not given me much to go on but I think you may need to downshift to a lower gear instead of just slipping the clutch.

You need to downshift to go uphill. Don't burn your clutch out!

The reason for it is gravity.

Women and clutches. I'm still pulling my hair out on that.

when was the last time the bike was tuned? it may just need a service or you may be in the wrong gear.have some one check that the clutch is not sticking..
