I'm in junior high and I want to take culinary arts when I go to college and Im wondering what you learn in that class

There are two famous schools for culinary arts int he USA - the Culinary Institute of America in NY and Johnson & Wales University. They both give Associates degrees and Bachelor's degrees in different aspects of culinary arts and food service management, beverage management, etc.

I was talking to one kid who was at J&W - he said he wanted to be a chef but when he started school he really didnt know anything. The very first day he was in school they assigned him to the kitchen lab and he made eggs for 1000 people. He said, "After that I was pretty good at making eggs!" hahaha

Actually they have a whole series of courses on every possible aspect of cooking and baking and safety procedures for the kitchen, food safety, etc etc
