do u call them back to find out whether or not it was a wrong number? will they not call you back if they wanted to talk to u?

my b/f does that...and it bugs me...he just has to know who called...I feel if it was important...they will call back

I usually let them call me back - if it was a wrong number then they won't bother. If it was important enough they'll call back. However if it is a repeated number, meaning they keep calling and not leaving a message then sometimes I'll call back to see who it is and what they want.

I don't think it is a good idea to call people back when you don't know who has called. First it might be a telemartketer and you don't want to talk to them. Also, if it is someone that has caller ID and you didn't want them to know you they now have your phone number. I just always think if someone hasn't left a message then it must not be all that important. IF it is all that important then they will call you back soon enough.

If they don't leave a message, and I don't know the number, I don't see the point in a follow-up investigation. They woulda heard me say my name as part of my voicemail answering system, so I really don't care if it was a wrong number. Life goes on . . .

I call them back if it is family or friends,but if it an unrecognized number I just ignore it or delete it...they will call back if they want to reach me or leave a message!

if they don't leave a message then I don't worry about it, I figure if it's important enough they would leave a message or call back. and if it was someone important I would have them in my phone book so their name would come up.

Sometimes I call the # back ,but most of the time I just figure they will call back if it's important...

Every once in awhile if I'm real curious, I'll call the number back... but usually I just let it alone... they'll call back again if it's something important.

yes i do call them back sometimes, it all depends on if i think that it may be some chick who is after a guy that i like.
