have you let him have the booty since you seperated? it sounds like maybe once or so you did and now you don't want to anymore and if that's the case it will take years for him to stop asking unless he finds a replacement.

From the sounds of what you wrote, even though he has asked, you have repeatedly rejected his invitations for sex? If this is true..then good for you!! Tell him that it is over, and that even though you have a child together, you don't want anything to do with him outside of your child.
Should he start up a conversation about anything that has nothing to do with your child, cut him off, ask him if he wants to discuss anything about your child, and if not, hang up the phone, or go into the house. He left you, therefore, he has no right to know anything about you and your life, unless it concerns your child directly. You are now none of his business. If you are firm with him, repeatedly, he will get the message and have no choice but to respect your wishes. If he chooses not to, then do not speak to him at all. Cut off all communications with him, except in regards to your child, and do as much of that as you can in writing via email, or mail. Good luck to you.

He will stay around as long as you allow him to be around. Just because you two have a child together doesn't mean you have to give it up, key word is EX. Tell him to get lost and stop answering his call soon he'll find someone new.

If you don't want to have a relationship with him or think he is only interested in a booty call, tell him so. Why play games?

Tell him that you aren't a booty call and that intimacy is something that he lost his right to when he abused your trust in him. Let him know that you only share yourself with someone worthy of that gift and he doesn't even come close to considering it.

How long will the man stay around? Depends on the man, depends on the relationship.
If it was me, you would not get rid of me no matter if we never became intimate again. The child insures that.

He seems to be thinking with his second brain.
The length of time can be indeterminate.
I wish there was certain amount of time that would suffice your answer.
