Were the killings at Virginia Tech a result of better drugs, and medicines? Was he the result of better medicine? Sort of like a super bug or infection? Bread by the new Psychology, and new drugs? Why now? There has never been a time when this has occured? Really ask yourself is it a result of societies being ill or just one person? Are we as much to blame for the killings? Did the new Psychology fail or did it create this new strain of killer?

Are the killings at Virginia Tech a result of a new breed of killer or a new breed of psychology? Was this a catastrophic failure by the mental health system or was it the result of careless doctors who over medicate with drugs that are dangerous....

You know...-I DON'T believe that Society's problems have gotten worse in this Country. There may be MORE people with problems- simply because there are MORE people (over 300 million) among us now. So the proportion of problems are going to go up with the # of people. And then there's the "Instant Media" we have today. We're bombarded with "breaking news" from anywhere in the World now- SO it AWAYS seems like bad things are going on (& so they HAVE been- but we didn't hear about them right away...). So I'm not convinced that things are getting worse. Maybe we're just letting ourselves get overwhelmed by too much sensory Information...

I agree with Joseph. Also, semiautomatic guns are common today, so you can kill a lot more people that when you had to stop and reload all the time. I do think psychiatric drugs can set some people off, but not in THIS way. The punch out a family member way. I think we are a less violent society than there has been in all of history, really.

Its societies pressures of being perfect, elite, ect.
if someone isn't perfect people shun them and when the person doesn't feel perfect the lose self esteem.societies demands to be successful & perfect is extremely unhealthy
