Do you mean "Memento" starring Guy Pearce & Carrie-Anne Moss? I would/have given it a 9 for its original, innovative plot. It can be a bit hard to follow unless you are paying close attention through the entire movie (not one you can leave and pop a bowl of popcorn for).

five out of five! completely original plot, surprise ending/beginning, incredible performance by guy pearce (he's come a long way since the adventures of priscilla queen of the desert)
