I find occasional boredom a good thing. It allows me to rest and think of nothing. It allows my mind to wander off without worry.

To be honest, I'm kind of torn on this. When a child grows up and lives in a house where they must be productive at all times or else be called lazy and on the other hand, the child grows up to do whatever he/she wants but is bored of all the things around him. I see boredom as bad and wrong because I recently learned a phrase that speaks of the way I feel about boredom. The phrase is, "Boredom is the devil's playground." A person can do anything when they're bored because they are bored. This is because a majority of people grow up thinking that you must be doing something at all times of the day which can add a lot of pressure to a person's life and the people around them.
I receive newsletters from Reverend Run and today's newsletter speaks on this very subject, so here's what it says:
"Find something to do, because the feeling that we have too much to do is much more pleasing than the feeling that we have nothing to do. I've found that giving my team more to do in less time make them more efficient, energetic, and
enthusiastic and it allows more free time outside of the work place. In studies of college students, those with more demanding schedules were 15% more satisfied with life. Despite the more demanding schedules, the individuals studied did not experience any more stress than those with less to do." Get busy! :)

Boredom is just a part of growing up, you do things and master them to the point where it no longer takes enoth effort mentaly/physicaly to captivate your interest. Boredom can be seen as both bad and good I tend to look at it as a motivation for learning. If it wasnt for boredom we would be just dandy doing the same things over and over so in that respect boredom is a good thing.

I consider it bad to the for the person that wants it. It is also wrong and selfish. I am going through this as we speak. I am getting angry and worried. The more I push the worse it gets. I would say hang in there, but when things get boring or become nonexistent, it is hard to be positive. I would say try and talk again, or seek help, other wise there are people out there you want to keep things interesting and want it all the time ( I am a woman so there are some us out there who want it just as much as you) good luck. While you wait fantasize about what used to be that's the only thing that keeps me going.

Bad because what is that saying, idle hands are the devil's playthings. It's hard for me to be bored because there's always something that needs to be done, or there's always a book I can read, TV to watch, beautiful outdoors to take a walk, etc. So personally I think boredom is wrong. Not that you have to be productive all the time, but there's always SOMETHING you can do and not be bored doing it.

I consider boredom unnecessary and the product of laziness. The truth is that people are only bored by choice since they lack the will to find something to entertain themselves. This is why hobbies and television are popular. They keep people from being bored/

If you think boredom is bad, think what it would be like if you were a moicide investigator or a coroner, soemtimes what we have is enough and we just dont appreciate it enough.

ablolutly nothing. you can't help feeling bored when there's nothing to do. it's just when there's stuff to do and your bored then you have no excuse 'cause there's stuff to do.
