I have to agree very much the the guy 2 above me. The HP Pavillion was built for that specific reason....loudness. Not taking credit away from the loudness of the fans mind you hehe. But in terms of loyalty and dedication it has to be one of the canadian teams i.e. Toronto or Montreal. I mean when a city riots because of a hockey team that is nuts. Even the east coast old schoolers like teh Flyers or Rangers or Penguins. All those teams have history and it is all because of the fans. You can't tell me that a team that is only 16 years old has more loyal and dedicated fans than the teams that are 70 years old...

Calgary. The Sea of Red and the Red Mile are amazing.
Even most American fans watching the Detroit-Calgary series will admit, although our team is much less talented than the Wings... our fans make up for it. Everyone int he dome wears red, it's always loud... even if our team is down by 6 goals, we cheer them on. Very loyal fans, and it's always sold out. Hockey is life in Calgary, and our fans will always be number 1.
If you're unfamiliar, watch game 6 of the Detroit-Calgary series on Sunday. You'll know what I mean.
No disrespect intended on any teams fans... but they just dont' have the same buzz as Calgary does.

Loudness dosn't mean you have the best fans in the world. But it's dedication. The Habs have the most dedicated fans in the whole league. The fans come to all the games no matter how much the Habs suck. Sharks and Sabres fans Please when they sucked there was barely even people at the arena. It's very simple it's dedication and habs fans have it.

The best fans belong in the East. Buffalo & Pens fans. They support their team no matter what. I'm not a fan of either, so don't think I'm a homer.

Buffalo Sabres fans, there are 14,000+ season ticket holders and 18,000 seats in the arena. The fans are great here in Buffalo.

as a sharks fan the sharks have a loud building in the HP pavillion, we are dedicated to hockey out here in the bay area believe it or not, we love our team teal and we bleed teal. now I still think this one goes to the oilers man their fans know how to be loud, i just remember watching the intensity of the crowd last year when the sharks played them and I felt nervous and anxious for the sharks and i wasnt even playing i was sitting drinking beer with my friends!!!

ESPN says Buffalo. Tickets for the entire season sold out under a week. I had to pay like $75/ticket for the really cheap seats.
