Are you grossly misspelling words on purpose, or do you really not know how to spell "his" and "battles"? :(

Waterloo. However, he suffered a big defeat by invading Russia before Waterloo. Russia and later the Soviet Union knew how to use their vast land and severe winters to outlast an enemy. Japan in the Sino Soviet war was a victim and then Germany in World War II.
I believe Sweden also suffered by invading Russian.
