most, if not all the calls were favoring calgary in the last two games. i think the refs had a little more money in their pocket after these last two games

Why do people want to blame the refs when their team loses?
The Wings didn't play that well while in Calgary.

In this particular case, it was because the away team just kept taking dumb penalties. The fact is that the Red Wings' special teams have been pathetic the past two games. That is why they lost. Blaming the refs is equally pathetic. It is not like the same refs officiate all the Calgary games, so your insinuation makes no sense. It is obvious just fan bias on your part.

The calls were 6 detroit and 6 calgary, some being quite questionable, calgary did convert 2 of them though.

Yeah the calls were even but most of the calls against the wings came at a time when we were making a drive or the momentum was shifting in our favor.Case in point the hand pass called against Zetterburg the puck did hit his arm he did plead his case to no avail.That is only one example. It sure seems the REF's were guaranteeing a CalGary win. Of course the Hos-er fans won't agree but they know deep down it's the truth.The officiating needs to be looked at like the N B A maybe some of them need to be reprimanded also.It's not only in this series but the Duck series also! it's just out of control and it needs to stop!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6 penalties for Calgary...6 for Detroit...
Calgary converts on 2 of them...people complain...
It's a well known fact that Calgary plays extremely hard when in front of the home crowd.
It couldn't just be that their hard work toward the net FORCED the Detroit d-men to take penalties?

A little bitter that we outplayed you? Say what you will about the refs, both Jim Playfair and Mike Babcock told their boys what would be called.. and guess what? The refs called it exactly the way they have.
Plus it was equal penalties for both teams. Detroit never scored a single power play goal... so really it's your speical teams. I never heard anyone ***** when Calgary was gettin dinged in Detroit constantly. Fact is, we have way more penalties int his seris than you do.. Just becuase your team constantly blows it in the playoffs, it does not mean you can blame the refs. Take it like a man, and shut up.

well i guess the wings better get their checkbooks back out because all the penalties in the joe seemed to favour of the wings and for tonight you can thank your amazing goalie for causing the 5 on 3 that led to calgary's first goal.

I thought I was watching a fishing contest as many hooks that were called.
But like the announcers said, you may argue with the call but at least they were consistant in how they were calling them.
I think sometimes they need to swallow those whistles.

think the refs in the wild / duck series did too.
can't belief both of the serious. calls have sucked.
but then calgary and minnesota are classy teams....

there were like 10 hooking calls, everything was hooking..and just watching the replays of the types of penalties they called was just so weak it was sickening..I hate the flames, also the refs too..
