the only reason i can think of is that people there think they can do better or something like that....

Here in Switzerland (and also in Germany), actually all universities are state-owned and of high reputation. So having a "real" master title of a Swiss or German university is considered much better as a title of an MBA institution nobody knows.

In Switzerland, the title "MBA" as such is not protected at all. I could grant you an MBA if you'd like...

We simply are not used to figure out the reputation of any MBA institution anywhere in the world - because usually there is no necessity for this.
