My dad was wondering cause he cant find who did it. He remembers a long version, but wasnt sure if it was from the original person who did it or a remix. Basically he explained it as "A long session where theres no singing, just instruments." Kinda like the long version of "Time". Thanks ahead of time.

Ok this is an easy one.
Go into "search"
Put in ........ spirit in the sky original lyrics
Yahoooooo ...... you've got it.

or

Put in ..... spirit in the sky midi (this will be just an instrumental) .... put it on floppy and let your dad sing away to his hearts content.

In the 80s, there was a Top 40 remake of 'Spirit In The Sky' by Doctor And The Medics that was awesome, but also very faithful to the original. I'm guessing the version your dad is seeking is by someone else though as many, many people have covered this song but only 2 have had hits with it. :-)

Norman Greenbaum did different versions. Hope this helps.

It was remixed, but it was still Norman Greenbaum in the singing.
