If you are guilty of anything... its being honest. Its hard but im proud of you.
If you want to undo this mess... you should talk to him and be upfront about it. Tell him you just wanna be good mates, he's your best friend... he has to understand that...
some people are able to forget their feelings and continue only as friends with them... some just cant do that but you know what i have a good feeling that you should give it time... i cant tell you when but if youse are good mates youse are bound to go back to that as soon as he clears his head and moves past things...
appologising and going back to an awkward state wont get you anywhere... and you will find yourself running around in circles..
take care :)

This is a test of a true friendship. If his behavior was odd, there may be other factors involve in his life and he needs someone to express his troubles. This is not a matter of blaming someone, you felt the indifference in him.
You spoke to him the first time. Speak to him again. Let him know you felt very personal about the friendship because you value it very much. Ask him did you do or say something wrong to offend him? If not, assure him that whatever that's on his mind he should always feel free to come to you.
If you want an opening to start the conversation, take a white rag or black, depending on your belief. Tie it around a small poll and when you see him, wave it in front of him and say;
"Truth!" Give him a gentle smile. "Can we talk?"
Began expressing your thoughts and ask him have you done something wrong? Poke into his mind and also keep him in your prayer.
God Bless

In every relationship if we adjust with others than the relation will lead forever . If you tell sorry now , nothing is going to be lost . After that one day he will realise that how much u like him and care for him .

you should talk to him*
you're confusing him
he sounds shy* and you threw him a curve ball..saying you want to stop going out with him as he wasn't being himself. I think you were way to harsh on him. He's awkward cuz it's probably his first 'relationship' and then you put his self esteem right down the tube...You should say sorry..to him, not the other way around.
Go Talk to Him*

Talk to him, if he ignores you, just keep following him unti he answers. Or just pass a note to him in class. Say this to him, "I'm really sorry, when I said that to you yesterday; I felt like a jerk".

Write him a letter. Tell him you are sorry and you were foolish and ask him to be your friend. You need to take half the blame on this one; at least.

honesty is the best policy, let him know that you are truly sorry and explain to him that the situation is of trouble to you, and if he doesn't accept it than at least you tried. honesty makes most things better, it can't hurt to try =D
