Unless you are handy in fixing car, you are asking for trouble. But if you want to only use it for 2 years, you may want to offer them around $1200. It is way, way over price if they are asking for $2865. Check your Kelly Blue book at KBB.com. You will have a hard time to resale it too after 2 years, simply because it is not a popular car.

Of course the other answers saying to buy a Japanese car is good advise, but you can not get one that new for anywhere near that price.. as to the Metro, I would say NO don't buy it... This is a very basic little car .. These little cars are pretty much worn out at that mileage.. You could maybe find a Chevrolet Cavalier for about the same price and the Cavalier is more car for about the same money.

That is way too much for that car. By the way, some people should check to see where the Metro was built. It's not an American car, can you say Suzuki??? At 111,000 mile I would think you could find something better in that price range.

The mileage isn't too bad. Be aware that you're looking at atiming belt replacement within a few months (120,000) (IF the belt was replaced at 60,000 miles!) I don't think I would buy this little "toy" car - not for nearly three thousnad dollars! If you want a good, reliable car in that price range and with that much mileage, try looking for a Honda Civic or a Nissan Sentra.

i've got examine a pair of surveys on that project and the outcomes have been you will get greater useful mileage with a/c off making use of around city despite if it did no longer quite say how lots. With the value of gas it is beneficial to replenish and write mileage down and run a week or so with a/c off and do comparable with a/c on and learn mpg. The survey did instruct there wasn't lots differance at street speeds because of the fact the homestead windows down interfered with the areodynamics of the vehicle.

These cars had a 1.0 liter engine and I saw a few that " ate" #1 or #2 piston. REAL expensive to fix as in parts prices. That kind of miles and that much money are out of line. Keep looking and don't give up.

Forget General Motors cars: they are the worst.

Get a Honda or Toyota. The best cars I have even had were Toyotas.

American cars break down all the time.
