Ok lets try this again. *5 gallon tank oversized fluval filter. elpephant nose getting a white skin peeling disease. only happening at night. and disappearing during the day. All other fish are fine . I have treated the tank with everything that I can think of. Except costia. He is eating, swimming , acting normal. what else can i try and what is the treatment since i can only treat 1/2 as much as normal with him??? Please help

This is normal is elephant noses.

Many fish become paler when the lights are turned out. As long as he's returning to his normal color during the day, this shouldn't be anything for you to worry about.

I hope you realize you won't be able to keep him in that tank for long - elephant noses grow to be about 9" long!

That really is absolutley normal. He is going to outgrow that tank soon, so get him moved up and settled in a larger tank asap.

If you're unsure, you can leave the light on for one night - see if his skin pales - bet it won't!
