I find your question a bit unclear.
If you want to colored font with a background other than white,
- in Word - use the Drawing toolbar.
- Click the ""text box" button on the Drawing toolbar.
- Drag a text box. The blinking cursor should be inside the box.
- type your text
- right-click the outline of the text box for a submenu
- select "format text box"
here you can change the "fill" color of the box and/or the color of the border.
With the border of the text box selected, click the Font Color button on the Formatting toolbar and choose a color.
or
you could insert a table, 1 column, 1 row
- right-click on the Formatting toolbar and choose to view the Table and Borders toolbar.
With the Table & Borders toolbar, you can change the color of the cell and font.
