Hi girls,

this isn't actually a question but instead it is just a message to all the people on here who have answered my questions that i have postedd about Breast Reductions. I finally had my surgery on Wednesday (only 3 days ago) and I feel fantastic. My surgeon has taken me from a AU 12G to a AU 12D
(34G to a 34D). He took out 500 grams of solid breast tissue from each breast plus through liposuction on the sides he got some fatty tissue out too.

SO just wanted to say thankyou to those of you who have previously answered my questions and given me advice and good luck to any of you who read this and are due to have the surgery done.

Hi Stephen,
Don't worry I was also stressed about something going wrong but it was all fantastic. I am Australian and all up including the hospital stay and even medication it cost me AU $11,000. I don't have private health insurance but I will get a rebate of about $900 from Medicare and about $2000 from Health Tax.

You and your wife should have a look at this site:
www.locateadoc.com
There are hundreds of before and after pics of reductions and a ton of really helpful information.
Hope this helps you :)

Sorry I just noted that you asked how I paid for this. I am only 21 so I had a few thousand saved but my (wonderful) parents loaned me $8000. I am a University student so I could only take out a maximum of $5000 loan, that is why my parents helped me out- but you can take out personal loans for this sort of thing.

I went from a 38J to a 38C with over five pounds taken off.

My insurance covered 100% of it.

Congrats~!

Not too sound crass, but how did you pay for this and what was the cost?

My wife has been interested in it for some time, but I was concerned about the fact that something could go wrong and it would be foolish to die over breast reduction.

Still, where are you (the terms lead me to believe you may be from the UK?)

I had this surgery 11 years ago and I should have had it sooner, it was one of my better decisions. I went from a really tight DD to a C.
