People like to know what they are buying, if one waits until they get married then there will be trouble if lets say the man is a virgin and the woman is not then she will have to teach him what to do. Back in the day it was cool to wait, however with sex being the talk of the day you want to know what you are getting into before you say I do. There will be more adultry down the line if the sex is not good and you waited to find that out imagine how bad that will suck. I understand how love is the ultimate goal, however what about the make up sex thats the best part of arguments in most cases the sex, knowing your partner is lousy in bed will keep the arguments going!!!!

Consider the fact that this question is listed under Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered. Many who fall under these categories WOULD like to get married but aren't allowed to due to right wing bigots. So you get the groups that say sex before marriage is bad. You get other groups that say gay marriage is bad. I'd imagine that there's a lot of people in both groups. Ironic, no?

I agree with Ben. It's an pretty big gamble to wait for having sex until after you're hitched to see if you're right for each other in the sack (up here in Canada it is thankfully legal).

One word: biology. The biological urge to reproduce is one of the strongest in the human body. The "chastity pledges" make me laugh - all it does is serve to make things worse, and most people do NOT stay celibate during this time, so to me its a joke, although not a very funny one.
