I was created by sex between my parents. They claim no one else was in the room at the time.

Good question......
Your potential is what you could be not what you are.
God created man. Man created more man and have had pleasure doing it which is part of God's design for us. God created you and gave you free will. Your free will is what gets you in trouble.
Adam and Eve had free will and were told that they should not eat from a certain tree. Maybe it is a metaphor, maybe it was a real tree. Most people blame Eve, but the bible says God told Adam, not Eve. Maybe Adam forgot to tell Eve not to eat from that tree. (Guys don't always communicate so well). But even after they ate God still took care of them and made them clothes. Maybe He could have scratched the project and started all over again, but that wasn't the plan He had. He had this plan in mind - that you would be here at this very moment asking this question and I would be here to answer it.
I don't know what you or anyone else on answers believes but I believe I was created by God, rather than some fungus that grew into man as we know it. Some people think because science doesn't support God,then He doesn't exist. If you don't believe there is a God, you better hope you are right.

You're asking a very complex question that can be divided into two two parts:
a) "Was "I" created by God...." Depends upon what you believe. If you follow most philosophical (not necessarily religious) lines of reasoning, you will have to accept the existence of a "God." Now since your premise establishes that God created Adam and Eve, you can then reasonably establish through the principle of cause and effect that God created you. WHY you were created by your parents, is a different question. Nowaday's it's mostly because of lust:)
b) Why didn't God just scratch the "Failed Adam & Eve project?" Wow. Long story. Simplest answer? Why do parents keep bad kids around instead of killing them? I mean fine, some do kill them, but what do normal people do? They love them despite what they are and, in the words of the joyluck club "No expect, only hope" for the best.

Do all atheists think that Christians haven’t thought of all these questions?
The Adam & Eve project didn't fail, it worked exactly as planned.
We aren't paying for the crimes of our imperfect parents, we chose to come to Earth and experience pain in order to experience joy.
You were created by God, meaning that your spirit is an offspring of God, and your body was an offspring of your parents.

That's simply why those answers are so false.
"I" was created by God, we just ignore what we truly mean when we use that word.
The Adam and Eve project was never failed it wrought plenty that pleased the maker.
What humans think the 'damning' of the 'sin' was is our value judgement and if our judgement was the same as God's, we wouldn't find any contradiction, would we.
God believers really need to start questioning that issue and getting their heads in God's headspace, it's the promise they made to the deity they worship to do so and even Jesus insists on it, and for anyone else, if he doesn't, then sanity does, seriously.

The answer to your question must begin with an answer to the supernatural. Do you believe that there is something beyond the physical?
Remember, the Bible was written by and for the eastern mind, which has always accepted the supernatural. In the history of humankind, rationalistic thinking that rejects the supernatural is a recent phenomenon.
Now the answer to your question: The Bible says that God created humans in His image, which includes character, of which the prime one is free-will. It is that free will that gave Adam and Eve the option to sin, and also gives us the same. Our nature of sinfulness continues to drive us to sin. The Bible gives us the instruction that in ourselves we cannot live a sinless life (don't we know that for sure?). Our only hope is to trust in Jesus Christ and the love He has for us.
Hope this answer helps you in your quest.

God created Adam & Eve and gave them everything they needed to live in a perfect world. He gave them free will and1 rule, which they broke. When He threw them out of the Garden of Eden, he told them to go and procreate. That means we are all created through our physical parents. When we are born physically, God breathes the "breath of life" into us and He gives us our talents, traits, and our purpose.
I think God enjoys watching His creations succeed and helps them when they ask. I also think he is saddened by all you non-believers out there. One day, He will prove to you that He is and always shall be the one and only true God.

Actually, Eve was God's third attempt. The first one didn't have a name, then there was Lillith (can't remember what happened to her though) and then Eve. So, if you believe in it all, it makes sense to assume that God would have scrapped them too if he hadn't been happy with the results.

Well... Look at it this way...
God knows Eveeeery thing.... so heeven knew hat A&E were going to disobey him after they were deceived by Satan.... well.... God knew that Satan was going to turn against Him, and being the Great God that He is.... it would've been easy to just get rid of Satan and make him disappear but then it would've taken away from God's glory.... therefore... He had to have "us" be the ones to put Satan in the bottomless pit hell whatever..... which is why God gave us His only begotten son, so that His precious blood would be our weapon basically to get rid of the enemy.......Satan thought he was better than us.... so if we (less than Satan beings) were the ones to get rid of him, then it shows how worthless he really is, and the fact that now we are God's children so he is way beneath us...we aren't here to pay a price for what they did, but we're here to win a battle.... and no one ever said that war was suppose to be fun!

How come if I have sex with my brother, it's incest and a crime, but with Adam and his sister Eve it's ok? Wasn't there a lot of inbreeding going around then? (I don't belong to any religion)
