When I copied my dbx files to another file I somehow associated them with Word. I don't find a way to re-associate them with Outlook Express. Is it possible to direct them back to Outlook Express somehow?

Thanks so much for all help.

Go back to CONTROL PANEL and FOLDER OPTIONS and then to FILE TYPES. Go down to dbx in the list and click on it. Go to OPENS WITH ... and fill in the name of Outlook Express.

Right-click on any .dbx file. Click Properties. Click all tabs until "File Association" dialog comes up. Associate it with Outlook Express, (that'll do it for all .dbx files). Reboot and e-mail to your heart's content.

Open my computer. Use tools/folder options/file types. Search for your extension then select it and click change. Find Outlook Express and apply it. Whenever you use open with, make sure the tick box always use this program is off. This was a minor problem, if you had done this to a system file you could have stopped your system totally. No boot, nothing.
