can anyone tell me a kind of horse that is all black??? It has to be ALL black (and I mean really really black, not just really dark) and tall but lean as well. Also, and I don't know much about horses so I don't know if there is such a horse as this but, if there is such, the horse's black coat has to be sort of like a trade mark. Sort of like how the pinto always has spots, this particular kind of horse should always be black. I don't know if this question makes much sense but hopefully someone will be able to help me.
Thanks!!

Friesians are always black but they are medium sized and muscular. Cheval Canandien, a breed from Canada, is almost always black. They are both gorgeous breeds, but not tall or lean.

Many other breeds have black horses -- Morgans, Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses all come in black, as do many other breeds.

I hope that helps.

Fresians are all black but so are a lot of other breeds. You can get pure black Welsh Sections and also cobs. Depends on what you are looking for. Not sure that a black coat is a trade mark as such....

Many horses come in solid colors such as black. A black coat color is not a trade mark at all, see lots of horses can be black. No particular kind is always all black. Freisans are often black, though they do come in other colors. The horse you probably were thinking about was a Thoroughbred. These majestic animals are tall, lean, and can come in black.

For proper conformation the answer for an all black horse is a Friesian. They HAVE to be COMPLETELY black to be a true Friesian. That is the only horse that HAS to be pure black in order to be a confirmed breed specfic.

fresians have to be all black. most fell ponies are also black and although they are ponies they are tough and strong so make up for not being quite as tall as a fell.

there is no type of horse that is all black in colour - in fact it is extremely hard to get an all black horse
Even the slightest hint of grey on a black horse will qualify him as a piebald!!!!
Also - even black horses who have a browny muzzle cannot be called black!

If you don't know much about horses then why are you looking for one? A horse should not be judged on the colour of it's coat.

I believe Fresians have to be all Black, not just a dark brown.
