I was just watching the news and they just said that there is a propsal to make all people that get labled dagerous by A helthcare professional not to be allowed a gun ever. ( I don't belive one persons view wich may be right or wrong at the time should affect someone for the rest of their life not only that but all it takes is someone to have politics in the office to call another person nuts in order to affect them)
My personal view is if someone realy wants a gun they will find a way to buy it off the street and everyone else will be without protection to defend themselves.

A gun is a means to an end.
Meaning if you were to take away all the guns somehow, do people really think that would solve the problems of violence?

a gun is a means to a specific end -- or better yet, a means for one who attempts to impose their will on another be it for money, for power, or even sex (rape).

If its not a gun, it will be a knife, or some blunt object.
Dont tell me you think that eliminating guns altogether will take away the anger contempt in those bad elements heart.

Gun bans will force them to adapt, and continue on to their intended path, by using knives, sticking a rock in a sock, or jumping out and using a bat.
Lets not forget the simple fact that If you were to remove all the guns -- people will still be able to make zip guns -- which would only enhance their ability to instill fear and submission.

Im all in favor of the right ot bear arms -- I dont agree with people that try linking this Virginia tech and more troubled people to their gun ban politics

P.S. People are disillusioned into thinking that by making guns more difficult to get, that it will somehow keep the angry people from releasing their anger.
It will only mean that maybe they wont do it in a college, but they will do it to the people close to them.
But ultimately they will harm someone.
Its just a sad sad world.
This is why people need guns - and need the gun discipline to be able to react properly to defend themselves and their family members

Banning guns from Americans hasn't helped anybody. The bad guys are going to get their hands on guns one way or the other. They don't care about laws. So what kind of situation does that put the law abiding citizens in? They don't have the adequate means of protecting themselves from the guys with guns.

In Texas one guy tried to rob a convenience store with a firearm. Immediately, 4 people pulled their guns on him. How far do you think he got? Without the means of protecting ourselves, the bad guys don't have anything to fear, except for the police, of course, IF they get there in time.

Gun control means all shots in the 5X ring.

It's not about guns, it's about control.

The areas (states, counties, cities, other political subdivisions) with the most restrictive gun laws have the highest crime rates. Look at Washington DC, New York, New Jersey, compared with other states.

In my opinion, I'd rather have ALL citizens armed (except those with mental health issues). I'd rather know that everyone was armed, rather having just the criminals (if all guns are banned).

Where have the horrific killings taken place? IN GUN-FREE ZONES!!! What does that say? Does that say "Ban guns????" Of course not!

Dead right!!! In an open society like ours, it is impossible to eliminate guns. We can't even keep drugs out of our country, by the governments own admission!!!! If we outlaw guns, the only complying citizens will be honest ones!!!! Outlaws will make sure they remain armed regardless of the law, because they don't recognize the law anyway!!!! So, the only thing we accomplish, is eliminating the ability of an honest citizen to defend himself from criminals!!!

Guns are not the problem, people are. When you take the right away that is guaranteed by the Constitution, then what is next?

Gun control is an excellent idea!

I control mine very well, thank you.

If you cannot control yours, get a different model and/or go practice.

Problem solved.
