Nah...lol
Tell you what.... Philosophy, I mean, the real good stuff, is just as HARD to understand as the Hebrew good stuff.
Let me tell you why... Both Philosophy and The Scriptures require what common people don't have; that's why there are a few Philosophers and Sages and the everyone else is looking for it.
Let's take a clear example; Socrates, who didn't write anything to begin with, but nobody is going around saying that he didn't exist. Then Plato, who was as mystic as it could get, comes writing what the master taught him, what he knew, namely, NOTHING.
But what is this NOTHING this people were talking about? See, it takes more than just MIND to understand this, I mean, NOTHING...come on!0!
This is how Plato would put it: He who sees with his eyes is blind.
Did I say HARD to understand...lol...Who am I kidding, it is IMPOSSIBLE to understand, I mean, really understand, know this, know nothing....hello!0!
The very same thing happens with the Hebrew Scriptures, it just makes no sense; here too, MIND is not good enough. This is because The Scriptures are encoded or encrypted and it takes more than understanding to read through it. A lot has been written about this, this is the good stuff the Sages left for us.
Now, it's up to each one of us to find out about all this, of course, if you want to. Tell you what, IF you REALLY want to, you will, eventually, find out what's all about. IF you don't want to, or you're not motivated, then what the hell, go on with your life, try to live as best as you can, because tomorrow you will die....LOL
GOOD LUCK!

Nobody in the United States really knows the reality of Hebrews, because there is too much secrecy about there believes. They will never tell the truth about the things they believe because they are afraid of being judge by "Americans".
We are not stuck with religions we have a choice, free will. If you don't follow a religion is OK. Nobody can force you to be in a religion these days. You believe in what you want to believe. You don't have to go to church or any other gathering to show that you believe, you do that in your heart.

Actually, the Greek mindset was mystical. Minds such as those of Socrates and Aristotle are exceptions, not the rule for the common people.
Even Plato had a profound mystical side.
The examined, philosophical life, in any society in which you look, has always been the privilege of the few.

That's a tad skeptical.
Even religions evolve over time. When a religion no longer meets the needs of the society, the religion will often develop and branch off creating new or modified beliefs systems.
I'm not stuck with anything. I have the power to choose my beliefs, change my beliefs and learn new information.
I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with what religion offers.

Yes..... but.....
Wouldn't there be a philosophical and logical reason for the Greeks embracing such an idea? If we give them the benefit of the doubt regarding the adoption of the Mideast spirituality what might we discover?

Well, the 'logical' mindset doesn't really have any answers to the great univeral questions, only a belief in a creator really makes any sense. Oh, a minor point that may have eluded you, religion has nothing whatever to do with a belief in God. Religion as we know it is largely a man made institution.

People, anyone, tries to reason with their reason. In their arrogance full of ignorance they overide logical thinking, asking the placing on other questions and beliefs which will never be answer, that being imposing their narrow toughts about a "god" on others!
Humanity must have the balls to understand that all there is is life and eventually death. The rest is a masturbation of the mind trying to understand the infinity all around us.

God is the maker of heaven and earth an all that is in the earth and on the earth and in the heavens. With that we worship God of the universe who knows all.
Greek mythology you have to know what you want then which god to pray to.
as for me I'll follow rule #1
Thou shalt have no other gods before you.

Not really. It's just that religion is highly solicited nowadays, it's easy to forget that we can have a choice to join a religion or not.
