Is it more fun to believe in superstition and horror?
Tried the ouija board when I was 13 (B-day present from mom).
It really didn't work. I suppose that I didn't expect it to, but it was truely less than useless. We did have some fun with it, but that was us moving the planchette and making up silly messages. I admit, it is fun for a slumber party.
I still have the board, but I'm a missing the planchette thing. I keep it in my closet and guess what? Still does nothing.

We also did the other slumber party stuff. Seances, light as a feather, stiff as a board, and bloody Mary. Nothing ever came of those either-but it did freak us out when we did bloody mary, turned the lights back on and my little brother had thrown ketchup on the mirror.

Whenever I've told people in person that my ouija board did nothing, I get all these horror stories and dire warnings. Ridiculous.

Boonoora-I was a thirteen year old 21 years ago, sweetie. So I could do without the motherly scare-tactics. Thankfully, my mother was unsuperstitious and sane.

If there really is an afterlife, I'll bet the best way to contact it is through a plastic, mass-produced board game from Milton Bradley! --Mad Magazine

True story:
Years ago someone that I worked with had moved into an old antebellum plantation house.. He swore that he had ghosts in his attic...He could hear footsteps late at night...
So he, myself, and a couple of others decided to investigate.
We all spent the afternoon and night....I brought a divining rod , a metal detector, and an ample supply of good southern whiskey... Someone brought a Ouija board....Late at night we say around the board and asked questions....And every time there was a clear and frightening answer.....Until everyone caught on to the fact that I was moving the pointer!!!
Anyway we all got drunk and had a good time....Oh yea I saw the "ghosts" around three AM.....I went to the attic (Novel idea?) and found a family of raccoons.....................

The Ouija board is just that a piece of wood and plastic...It has no power that you don't give it.........But remember that if you wish to speak to "Spirits" be prepared to receive an answer......Do not open doors unless you expect someone to walk through them!!! OOOOH....OOOOh...OOOH ..Booooh

All Magick is in the belief and patience of the practitioner.

You have not believed you were ever touched by an angel and you have not.
You have not believed that a OuiJa board will work and it has not.

They are the same.

you know you shouldnt mess around with those things especially if you think its for fun and dont believe in it. leave it to the professionals otherwise you could open the door for an unwanted guest/spirit/ghost and bad things will happen. the ouija boards are not to be messed around with.

Things happen when you believe they will. And if you don't believe in them, they simply don't manifest or exist.

The mind is a very powerful tool.
