Here are a few free Barbie clothes patterns:
http://www.perestroika.ca/html2/free_patterns.php

Here is a free pattern for a pajama set (cute!):

Here is a pattern for a garter belt and brassiere (oh my!):

I'm pretty sure these are for Barbie, but I don't speak German so I don't know for sure. There are a lot of patterns here:

And finally, here is a webpage that lists a whole bunch of links to other pages that feature notions and patterns designed specifically for doll sewing. It seems very useful:

Hmm... that last link didn't print up right here, so I will list it below in the source section, too.

Hope that gets you started!

Try:

Most sites want to charge for the patterns. I would also search on ebay. Once you have a couple of starter patterns you can get more ideas for changing them around and creating new outfits. That is how I made mine when I was young!

all of the pattern companies sell barbie patterns and if you keep your eyes open for joanns sales you can get patterns for 2 dollars. go to a joanns store and sign up for their sale flyers. in the mean time you can look at simplicity.com, mccalls.com and butterick.com and find out what patterns you want to buy. they arent that expensive, and if you try you can actually figure out how to design patterns for barbie dresses.
