WHY do people who think they know the game and really don't feel the need to put there two cents into everthing. Mainly at the games, yelling at the refs making comments to players, when obviously they have no clue, THat is my biggest pet peve! I actually got into big time at one of my brothers (beer leauge) games cuz a fan was heckling him and calling him cheap!! It's a checking/ fighting leauge hello!!! any way it ended up with my gettting pulled of the dude cuz i got a little up set! Does this bother anyone else, oris it just me because I know the game being a palyer and a die hard fan!

Your right Ms Hockey. At NHL games i know people yell stuff because they think its their privilege or right to say whatever because "they paid their money". Me personally i would yell stuff at Shark games because i was usually drunk lol(sober now) i bet that's why fans do it at other skill levels of hockey too. But then again there are people that are just plain rude sober I personally never really thought about it from the players point of view very often

OMG, I know just what you mean!! Wanna know all my stories??

Okay, I've grown up around the ice and hockey. I'm not going to say I know everything, but I know a great deal. Enough to have the right to yell. Anyway, we were at a CHL game a few weeks ago (I know, but it's all we've got), so I normally end up cheering for the away team (it's a goalie thing). I have this very, very, very southern, country lady. Boy, was she yelling her head off. But, she didn't know a thing about hockey. When the away goalie would cover the puck she would yell, "Chicken!" It drove me nuts. There were like four home players on him, what else was he suppose to do??? So, being my rude self, when the home goalie covered the puck when no one was there I would yell, "Chicken" loud enough for her to hear me, but of course not the goalie. She did this the whole game, and than she was yelling at the refs because they missed a call. I mean come on, it's a game. Does she enough know what these players go through? I think not. That's one of those things you learn from being a player and a goalie at that. You learn to deal with the refs, the calls, the rules, and even those rude fans.

Oh, and then my brother plays pee-wee hockey. They just started checking and it gets rough out there. There's this one team they player and every time there is a check, the parents on the other team yell, "That's illegal." Dude, where were they when their boys learned how to check?? It drives me nuts, I've even yelled some stuff, not to them, but so they could hear me.

I'm a goalie. I yell at the fans from my net. Not really yell, yell, but my girls hear me. Because when they yell something about me or my team I take offense to it. And I'm sure all the NHL and CHL and IHL and UHL and AHL and EHL and all those players take offense to it too.

Why do all those stupid people have to ruin the games for all us smart people??

i know what you mean, my philosophy is the only ones allowed to yell should be the coaches but when you add fans and that act right juice people will start yelling stuff, and not always the right things. i think it has more to do with who respects the game more so. I know i play hockey, and I hate being heckled but its a part of the game, but when i go to sharks games i never heckle or yell dumb as s remarks. the only thing i do is boo pronger haha and cheer when we score or I know for sure the refs f'd up bug time you know, other than that just sit back relax with a beer and enjoy the TANK!!!!!

I like when people talk smack to me or try to heckle me. It gets me pissed off and I play with a quiet determination. Then I just point out the score at the end and laugh at them.

Goalies rarely get penalized though and I do have a little reputation for tripping. :). Especailly in the final seconds of the game when it doesn't matter.

Some people like the sound of their own voice. And it's amzing how many morons think they're cleaver. You're quite the powder keg I guess. You need to tend the short fuse. Sometimes you can drop the gloves, others you have to turn your back and take the 2 minute power play.

That's sports my friend. Every league from the professional ranks to men's league will exist people who think they know everything. But, that is people in general. Let them think they know everything, put your two cents, that's the beauty of having free speech, but there's no need to get upset over every little thing because there is always going to be something that upsets you, and someone who angers you.

Loads of people have no clue. I hate to see older guys yelling thing like "you suck" at the refs or opposing team. They act like they are 12 years old.
