My guess would be somewhere in the 50's, but who knows? It is possible that he woud set the record for all time HR's in a season .. he is a superstar & probably the greatest player in the game currently. As for Papi? I dont think his numbers will be even close to A'rod's. Not even close.

Well A- Rod is off to a really hot streak and hes hitting homer after homer but I think its just a matter of time before he cools down injury will play a part of him this year. He will hit a mini slump in late June to ealry July if you ask me about the time where half the season is over. A- Rod will finish 3 in homers behind who else then Big Papa and Sammy Sosa.

Big Papa-- 64
Sammy Sosa-- 58
A- Rod-- 55

can not say i in my view blame you. i may well be excited too if we've been beating you adult males.. and we've not even gotten a darn hit yet. i don't think of he will.. there is like 9 video games left in the season. i don't think of he gets 2 homers and eight greater RBI's in that. although that's Alex Rodriguez.. he's an exceedingly solid hitter as all of us understand, so something's feasible. Oh my god Matt flow meditate or some thing.. jeez calm down, it wasn't the Yankees' fault that Lester have been given hit.

He will obviously cool down, he is human. He is on pace to hit 100 homers, so he can't keep up that pace. I think he will easily hit 50. Even in an off year last season he hit 35 and he's off to a much better start. He is going to have an awesome season.

he's going to cool down. probably have a good year. 50+ homers. I doubt that he can go on for much longer at the pace he is at. I predict that he'll have a mini-slump some time in the season, when? i'm not sure

I think the way he played and the way he was treated last year started a fire under him. He has to play well or they will get rid of him. I think this year he will hit 97 homeruns.

of course he's not going to keep up the pace he's on right now, but i expect about a 50 home run season from him...he's a lot more relaxed and confident in himself right now, he's ignoring the media and not concerned about pleasing fans, he's just going out every day and playing baseball and enjoying the game, which is what he should continue doing

He's gotta cool down sooner or later. But i do think he'll have an MVP-worthy season, and knock at least 50 homers.
