My family is planning a summer (June) vacation to Cocoa Beach, Florida. We would like to stay at a place on the beach, relax there for a few days, and also drive to Disney and do the parks for 2 or 3 days. We would like to stay right on the beach if possible. Since we have never been there, does anyone have any suggestions for a place/area to stay? Something quiet, cozy, and comfortable. Thanks for any suggestions!

Living in Cocoa beach I can tell you that it is going to be hard with the quite and cozy part. It is crawling with tourists (no offense) but the shops and barsplay into it and always have lots of action. With that being said you might actually have a better time going 2-3 miles north to the City of Cape Cananveral and staying in either a timeshare type place or one of the hotels. Here are some Cape Winds Resort, the Radisson, or just check for people who have their vacation homes for rent since most snow birds are here in the winter and not summer. Also its quick to just follow A1A north till it turns to 528 then its a straight shot to the theme parks. Good Luck and hope this helps

The Doubletree is the best, if you can afford it. It is right on the beach, and is pretty quiet. The only catch is that sometimes groups do conferences there, but you will not find a nicer place with a nicer location. I have stayed there on a number of occasions, and have always been disappointed when I went somewhere else.

Ron Jon has a resort on the beach there now. From what I've heard people really like it.

I think Daytona is more naturally beautiful with more to do. Myrtle Beach, SC is my favorite beach.
