A small cabin or the cook's galley on a ship. A Cuddy boat is a boat with a small cabin with maybe a small galley and small head. It may have a small berth also. Normally the Cuddy is not tall enough to stand in. "Cuddy Cabin", while a redundant term (Cuddy itself means cabin), is a common term among small boaters.

A Cuddy boat is popular with people who want a little shelter and storage space but do not want to upgrade to a full cabin boat.

It the "cubby hole" you can go inside and be out of the weather. Usually it may have enough room to sleep for the night or have a place to sit and eat, but, not much larger.

The first link show you a 26 foot with a cuddy cabin and the second link show what it look like inside. To the left may be a little sink and to the right could be a small storage closet as you walk in.

A cuddy cabin is a waste of space on a small boat in my opinion. I wish I had found this www.boat-guide.net before I bought my boat with a cuddy cabin. The quiz they have on "what do you want to do in your boat?" could have saved me some heart ache. Sorry I don't have the direct link but it was under powerboats. Hope this helps

A small cabin, usually with a V-berth and sometimes a small head. Great for storing stuff but not so comfortable for anything more than a night or two of sleeping.

it is the cabin - below the front of the boat (bow) - Usually fairly small... You see this term in 16 foot to 22 foot boats usually... once you get above this... they try to stay away from that term!!
