Without a doubt George W. Bush is without a clue. He seems to have assumed that we would be welcomed by everybody with open arms. I don't think he listened to the intelligence professionals, probably because he did not like what they were saying.
Any intelligent observer could see that a significant proportion of the population (as low as one percent would do it) would resent the intrusion of infidels into their country. These are muslims, closely allied with the Palestinians that have been bombing and shooting innocent bystanders in Israel for sixty years; what would their reaction be?
George Bush simply did not see this coming. He had no plan beyond the overthrow of Saddam and the joyful adoring welcome of the liberated populace. The best mercenaries money can buy cannot win this war for him and he will not withdraw, since that would be unmanly.
So, like would be conquerors for the last two millenia, he leaves the troops in deadly peril rather than admit to an error. That is his plan in a nutshell. Hang on until he is relieved in 2009, then blame it on the Democrats.

You see, all you anti-Bush people fail to realize that:
1) you voted for him.
2) watching ABC, NBC, CNN, and/or the View does not count for political information. Of course those channels are going to be anti-Bush...it's an easy news story.
Did you all not remember the weeks after 9/11? We were all for war, remember? Flags up everywhere...a hate for terrorists in our hearts. Bush was feeling just that, too. He hated terrorists for killing 3,000 people and he did something about it.
Don't get me wrong, the plan sucked. I'm just freaking sick and tired of all these "democrats" complaining about the war. Why don't you do something about it if you don't like the war? OH, that would require work! Out of all the years that Bush has been in office, I've seen no "democrat" start up to try to get him impeached. So why don't all of you "democrats" read a news source like BBC and realize that there WAS undocumented WMDs in Iraq. (WMD is an opinionated term, and Bush obviously thought that 9/11 was mass destruction. Iraq had power to do a lot more than what happened on 9/11).
His plan? The surge of troops seemed to work, but we need to revamp the whole operation. Then again, what would be your plan if you were in office back in 2001?

Victory came a few weeks ago, when the Iraqi govt agreed to allow Exon-Moble and Chevron to run thier country's oil industry.
That is all Bush Jr wanted. If he had been serious about fighting terrorism, he would have gone after bin Laden the day after 9/11.

Bush's secret plan:
Stay in Iraq until 2008.
Democrat elected President.
Democrat immediately pulls out.
Iraq collapses.
Blame the Democrat for everything.

Here's my plan for it, that I think is going to become the republican plan if the dems would only allow a troop surge:
Our troops and Iraqi policemen need to be taught not just to defend themselves, but to enforce order. That means, they must stop sectarian violence and vigilante justice in anyway possible. The Iraqis are mad at us for creating an anarchy, and allowing friends and family to be killed by sectarian violence out of this anarchy. So if we stop sectarian violence where ever possible, say, if 3 Shi'ites are pulling a Sunni out of a car at a traffic intersection (happens fairly frequently) and are about to kill him for being a Sunni (or for any other reason) we shoot the Shi'ites. That way we'll establish at least some gratitude. Sure, we can never completely win and stop violence and attacks by radical muslims, but then again, we can't completely have "victory" in our own cities against crime. So really, we just need to bring the place back to a state of relative order by enforcing it ourselves with a troop surge. Also, we need to repair the stuff that's been destroyed.

The same as his original plan. To just stand by incompetently and squander others lives and fortunes, while his lackeys try to do his thinking for him. If Alberto Gonzales is any example of the sort of people Herr Bush has doing the thinking for the military, he is again in deep fecal matter. But then, he never really ever gets out, does he?

Continue sticking their heads in the sand and saying over and over again, "we must stay the course". Although I would imagine George Bush is clicking his heels three times as he says it!
