My close friend lets call her grace and I made a promise to eachother that we would never steal each others boyfriends and then I have a guy friend that I have liked for YEARS and she knows it and I can't date yet and she can so she go's and asks him out and now they are dating!

now she tries to talk to me like nothing happened even though it did. she is always talking about them kissing and stuff. Sometimes I hate her!

How can I forgive and forget!

I know how that must hurt. Forgiving is very hard. Did your friend know you liked this person all these years? If that is so, your friend is not a very good friend. You should tell her you are not interested in her love life and to please keep it to herself. Never tell her again about someone you like, you may find that she is going after that guy next. Sometimes there are girls that feel inferior to you in personality or looks, even brains, and the only way they can show they are as good as you is take the man you like. In this case, she had a shoe in, she knew you are unavailable for the guy and she was. Best thing to do is not let her know if is hurting as bad as it is. If you still consider her your friend you can try to talk to her, but be careful, it could backfire and become more hurtful. Also, it is something that happens well into life, some women just have to have what other women want, you made the guy look better by talking about him so much to her!!!
Hope it works out for you!!!

Your friend did something like that? Does she really like him too? I thought you guys made a promise to eachother.

Really, you should go talk to her. Have a girl's night out, and tell her about your feelings. A good friend always understands.

Be sensitive though, you want to find out if she really likes him too. Sometimes friendship brings complications, but talking it out always makes it better.

Good luck with your friend and you ^_^

well, of course you will never forget, it will sit in your mind for a long time. first, you want to confess to yourself that a best friend is better than a boyfriend. i hope that you will be able to find the path of forgivness, from there on.

good luck

I wouldn't forgive her IF she knew well and good that you wanted this guy but had to wait. That is something a friend does not do!!! AND, to rub it in your face too???? NO, I would not forgive her, and I would not forget she did it either.

Megz
Well the fact they went together he couldnt have been to concerned about you .
If he cared for you that much he would have waited for you .
Just let her go ,in time maybe you will forgive her .

Did he know he was your boyfriend? If not, she didn't steal your boyfriend. Still you are right in principle, she did stab you in the back. Get use to it, girls will do it to you for the rest of your life. It's just the way they are.

sounds like maybe you need a new friend. she will justify all her actions with the fact that he wasn't your boyfriend, but real friends don't do that. talk to her, tell her how you feel, if she doesn't respond in a nice way, get a new pal

in love and war all is fair...whats not yours is open for debate...she should have talked to you about her feelings before she acted on them....however, this might be a blessing in disguise, wait and see what kind of bf he turns out to be and if he breaks her heart...thank her...and if he loves her forever, you can hate her.
