Since he is not a Muslim, what he did is terrorized people, is he a terrorist?

I am a Muslim myself and I was shocked when Sulejman Talovic shot those poor people and because he was a Muslim, everyone thought he was one. So why the double standard?

A terrorist is not necessarily Muslim. A terrorist is anyone who commits a crime to spread fear among the general public. To determine if he is a terrorist, one would need to fully determine what his motives were. If he was trying to kill those who specifically wronged him (in his opinion) then he is not. If he did it to scare "rich kids" and take down as many as possible, then he is.

Absolutely not! One of the worst terrorists has just been released in Arizona by the Bush administration. His name is Luis Posada Carriles. Posada Carriles was detained in Venezuela in 1976 and convicted of masterminding the downing of a Cuban jet off Barbados, killing 73 innocent people. But he managed to escape from prison in 1985.

The Virginia tech shooter was not a terrorist, because he did not have a political agenda. Just a deranged mass murderer acting alone in an isolated incident.

Now of course he is a terrorist. A terrorist means that fear is being injected into the minds of the victims and panic is throught. If the VT shooter was muslim, muslims all over the country would probably be more feared and would have restrictions in most colleges.

No, the Boston Tea Party was an act of terroism and it was commited by our four fathers who were more than likely Christians. Terrorism is sometimes used when attempting to force political change by: convincing a government or population to agree to demands to avoid future harm or fear of harm, destabilization of an existing government, motivating a disgruntled population to join an uprising, escalating a conflict in the hopes of disrupting the status quo, expressing the severity of a grievance, or drawing attention to a neglected cause(wikipedia). Anyone group of people fighting for change or equality is probably going to commit terrosim. Anyone can be a terroist.

no to the muslim question and no to the terrorism question. The shooter was a severely mentally ill person who shot people . This is not terrorism , this is someone who is mentally ill.
And not all south koreans are mentally ill or are terrorists. Nor all muslims terrorists, you're using gross generalizations and stereotypes to foster whatever it is in your brain that wants to point fingers and shame people.

His suicide note was signed "Ismael-AX". Look that up and see the Islamic reference you get.... seems to me he is a convert to Islam, using his new Islamic name. There are many examples of this in recent US history. Here are three...

Casius Clay = Mohammad Ali (boxer)
Cat Stevens = Yusuf Islam (singer)
Jack Ellis = Hakim Mansour Ellis (Mayor)

Besides, what he did is far more in keeping with the behavior of Muslims than anyone else.....
