What ever happened to Chad Jackson, he was supposed to be a top 15 pick, fell to the second round and I never heard about him again. Is he considered a bust or is he still good.

Even though I am a Cowboy fan i would say Bobby Carpenter even though he did ok towards the end of the season he wasn't very good he looked slow but has good football instincts.

Busts...well Santonio Holmes was the only WR taken in round one and he wasn't really all that special....Didn't hear much of Micheal Huff..but I'm not sure if he was really a bust or not...but because he was injuried...I'd have to say Vernon Davis...but he's likely to prove me wrong this season if he doesn't get hurt again.

How did I forget about Mario Williams...the guy above me has a point..taken above Bush and not really producing anything until like week 5 or 6 was it? Hmm, something to ponder. But Williams wont be a bust overall..He has the talent to be a great defensive end..but last year was just sort of a shock...taken before Bush and being...eh...most of the year...even Bush was kinda mediocre as a runner..below 4 yards per carry is not good at all..but he's one hell of a receiver...

Chad is still with the New England Patriots, last year he played in 12 games with 1 start, 13 receptions for 152 yards.

At this point I think he is mostly a special team guy and comes in
during certain situations

Bust(not a womans Chest)

it takes 3-4 years and sometimes a change of Venue to really tell if a SKILL position player is a bust. 5-6 years for PIT players(OL & DL) for the same determination(based on how long it takes to develop).
In all the Years I have coached(this is my 14th and 2nd yr at the college level) it has always been drummed into me by line coaches that even at the pro level, once you switch styles or blocking(from college to Pro blocking sets) your Ability to stay flexable is challenged, and you must maintain that Flexability in your Hips and lower to be successful.
For Skill players it's the ability to adapt to the MUCH Bigger Playbook(1200-1500 Pages in the NFL, as opposed to maybe 250 pages at a D-1 school)....
I could keep going here,..but most of you are already football experts,..thats why your on Answers,..right??
Does anyone know who Rocky Thompson was?? Tony Richardson?? Troy Archer?? You Never heard of them because tragically, they were Busts(all Ex-Giants!)

Uh...The #1 Mario Williams by the Texans...over REGGIE BUSH...I guess the Saints love the Texans...Everyone else knows they are just stupid for passing on Bush...Chad Jackson is on the Pats...He is not a bust...What is THAT about?...He's probably gonna be #2 behind Dante Stallworth...He'll be playing in the 3 and 4 receiver sets...with Kelly Washington and Wes Welker...God knows it won't be Reche Caldwell...

Its still to early to tell if these guys are busts or not. Usually by the 3rd season you can tell because by then they should have matured enough to at least get some playing time. As of now they still might be backing up a great player and developing their skills. If they have gotten 0 playing time by year 3 then its probably safe to assume they are a bust, or were at least severly overrated.

Chad Jackson is on the New England Patriots. He was injured most of last year(his rookie season) and didnt play that many games, but when they got him in a couple of games he showed real talent, the patriots are expecting alot from him this year.

Chad Jackson stayed injured, but obvious New England didn't have much faith in him, bringing in three receivers via trade/free agency in Washington, Welker, and Stallworth. The real bust is Mario Williams. Thanks for Reggie Bush again Houston! We Love him down here in "Da Boot"!
