How late can you bonfire at la jolla shores?

Beach patrols come around at every beach around 10pm and ask you to put out the fires. Sometimes they don't come, but usually you can count on it between 10 and 10.30pm. It's the same on all beaches here.

The city rules state that bonfires must end at midnight...unless they've changed the rules. http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/san-diego-fireworks.html
