Why am i known as the bad wife??

Question

Okay i am 35 yrs old happily married 12 yrs and have 3 great kids.I take a lot of pride in taking care of myself making sure i am always well made up.I also exercise running 5 days a week and doing weights ect. to make sure my body is in top shape.Why do other women feel the need remark nastly about what i wear?I am a wedding planner with my own small buisniess and very friendly to everyone around town also participate in events.I have always gotten along with men rather than women.So i see nothing wrong with my hubby having friends over for a poker/card night or a big game night i will even hang around(i like sports).I have even allowed hubbys friends to crash at my house if they have been kicked out of their own homes.But for some reason no matter what i do most of the other wives speak badly of me?

It drives me crazy nothing i say or do seems to change their opinion that i am a tease?

I tried trying to get the other women to come over but they are always busy?

hmmm... first thing come to my mind is that they are jealous of how you look. I found that most women over 30 yrs of age tend to be more jealous of other women than when they are younger. However, not all women are like that though. Are you friendly with the women? If you only being friendly with the men, then that is why they feel threaten by you... so they feel the need to put you down to make themselve feel secure. I found it a very sensitive thing whenever I am around couples. I always make sure that I am friendlier with the women than the men or at least as friendly. I also watched my body language around them too... so the wives would not misunderstand or even feel threatened.

I got together with some old college girlfriends in Chicago a few weeks ago. We are cute but none of us sound nearly as hot as you. Surprisingly we had a very similar conversations, believe it or not we have similar problems, even though women are not jealous of our not so hot bodies we still find it hard to find girlfriends. Most women our age are busy and it takes time for us to build true intimacy so its hard to make true femal friends. We also often put our kids before all other relationships. Sounds much more reasonable than all the women are jealous of you.

roll 'em right off your back. i congratulate you and am very jealous of you...i wish i had the discipline to take time for my own exercise every day or even a couple of days a week. i hate the way i look, though i'm told i look all right, but i've always gotten along better with men than women, and i've been the object of suspicion, jealousy, gossip, etc. i learned the hard way to totally ignore those that scorn you. no matter what you do, they're gonna talk. most women are catty that way...if they think you're prettier or sexier than they are (and it's usually true), their jealousy will overtake them and they'll search for something to pick on you about. hold your head up high, flaunt what you've got while you've got it, and never give up. i'm sure your hubby realizes what a hottie he's got for a wife, and your fidelity to him is going to quash any rumors that may get to your hubby about anything less than honorable about you. hope this helped ya. keep your chin up and keep up your physical fitness...it's the best gift you can give yourself and your hubby for years to come. blessed be.

Women are very competitive of each other by nature. So if you are the type of wife that their man would love, but they are not and would never be then of course they are going to bad-mouth you. They are jealous.

You should not let it make you feel bad. Shrug it off and know that you are a good person and you can't help how envious other women feel about you. As long as you aren't being cocky or ugly about it then I would not worry.

One, they could be jealous that you have a nice figure.

Two, they may have picked up on the fact that you, admittedly, get along better with men than with women. If they don't think you like them, they will be prone to dislike you.

Three, if you are hanging around during "guys' night," these other women may feel threatened and be suspicious of your motives or behavior. Why, for example, aren't you taking the opportunity to hang out with some of your friends or with some of the other local women, instead of their husbands?

Four, if you are allowing husbands to crash at your house after their wives get angry with them, these other women probably think that you are on their husband's side and that you do not respect or understand why they are angry. Women often think that other women should relate to and respect their point of view.

I would need more info. I have not seen anything that you have written that indicate you are a bad wife. What do you wear when the "guys" are around? I assume you are attractive so maybe their wives are a bit jealous. If you provide me with more information I can give you a better response. Hope I can help.

First of all, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Most women can be petty and jealous, so when another girl has anything they don't, it is catfight time. I prefer the company of men to women as well, just because I can't stand talking about cooking, raising kids, and boring crap like that. I'd much rather play video games or cards than exchange recipies or scrapbook. So don't worry if women give you a hard time, it is because they are jealous of what you have, your confidence, success, and charisma. And wear what you feel comfortable in. It sounds like you know where you want to go in life, and take good care of yourself. Most women don't. So screw them, just be yourself and they can cry on the sidelines.

Some times there is jealousy and if you are overly friendly they might be offended. There is no telling!! Maybe they are just jealous because you work out and probably look really good for having 3 children, but just make sure that you know the difference between being friendly or flirting. You are probably just a nice lady, try to ignore it.

They are just jealous, you are healthy, you have a great family, and you can fit into hot clothes, they want to be you. You get along with guys so they envy you. Don't even worry about them. You take good care of yourself and others around you and shouldn't be worrying about what those brats think. Keep doing what you're doing sweetie!

Maybe on those poker nights, instead of hanging out with the guys, you could also invite the women over, or go out with the wives. They are including you but not their wives. If you are a wedding planner, you should know how to get a long with women, very well. As for the men being allowed to stay at your house, while they've been kicked out...you are making it easy in regard to their personal issues. Granted, its depending on the situations....but, were those men kicked out for being mean, lazy, whatever...but on their fault? Or was it the women who were being awful? None of your business?? Well, you are making it your business by allowing the men to stay at your house...also, I hope your husband is there. Regardless of trust you may have between you and your husband, if your husband isnt there....you are opening yourself to potential gossip, and its inappropriate, for obvious reasons.
