Is that what bothers you?? Meeting a Freak?? Now that everyone got the Pepper Spray Answers out of the way!!
I way I read it, you were just nervous period.
Ok with that, just be yourself. I'm sure you know a lot about the person already, build on what you know. Keep a lot of eye contact, and don't be afraid to smile. It's all about having a good time. Yes, it's a bit nervous at first, but they surpass after a bit.

Well just met him in a public place and carry something that will get him off of you if he attacks you. I wish you luck. Though some people aren't so lucky to met someone in person but I have and he turned out to be a nice guy so it can happen. As far as getting rid of the jitters if you mean the nervouiness I didn't but just met him in a public place and keep telling yourself that there's no reason to be nervous and see if that helps. That helps some people. It is normal to be nervous when you met someone for the first time.

Have you known this guy for a while? Anywho, no matter how long you've been chatting, as everyone else has said...meet in a public place. I know it'd probably be awkward to bring your friends along, so just make sure you tell someone where you're going and have a backup plan. There are LOTS of psychotic people online so you really have to take as much caution as possible...but there are a chosen few who turn out to be great :) I met my current boyfriend online. We met on Yahoo chat 3 years ago, met in person last year, and have been together ever since :) I wish you lots of luck, have fun!!

Don't meet him. Does anyone you know know this person.? Has this person been cleared through some dating service or something of that nature? I think I would think twice about this plan of yours to meet him. Maybe these jitters you mentioned is your intuition telling you not to go. Are you double dating or is it just the two of you? Think more about it before you decide one way or the other. Good Luck.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!! Is this just a joke!! I mean, unless you have like 3 eyes and 4 arms and no nose or something (which would explain why you don't mind taking the risk of meeting somebody that you know NOTHING about) then I really do think that you should listen to you inner jitters as you put it .............. it's called your gut instinct actually??? Remember?? When you were a little kid and got that yucky feeling in the pit of your tummy when you knew something wasn't right??? That's what your inner jitters are silly billy!! Please be carefull if you MUST go!! .............:0)

I'm sure I don't really need to tell you this but be careful. I have never considered meeting someone I met online. Be sure to tell someone where you are going.
I don't have any good advice on the jitters, other than to be confident in yourself. I hope you have a good time.

Jitters would be the last thing I would be worried about, have you never watched the news or read a newspaper??? I would be more worried about if this guy is a criminal or a gonna be murderer... Just my opinion , but the statistics speak for themself..... Be Careful !!!!

Pepper spray is a nice start, also goto someplace public, like a nice bar (one of the bars inside a restraunt chain is a nice cozy place and usually have cameras all over). If you aren't of drinking age, go to one of them anyway and don't sit at the bar. Usually a couple drinks will loosen you up, but don't go overboard so that you need to regret something you did.

ow! Think positively and enthusiastically about it. Expect him to be a good, honest person. But carry a digiital recorder in a pocket and record everything the two of you say. The most likely worst thing that could happen, is he doesn't come.If he comes and is harmless to you, but turns out to be wanted by the government, act suprised. I want you to remind yourself, that all of God's children are good and honest. Remember, if he smiles when he says something, he's teasing you.

Meet him in a public place and make sure someone knows who you are meeting and where you are meeting. Better yet, take a friend or two along.
